Welsh Rabbit (From the Brown Derby)
Combine thoroughly in a medium sauce pan:1 1/2 Cups Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese1/2 TSP Cornstarch (Be exact here or your cheese may come out too thick)1/2 TSP Dry Mustard 1 1/2 TSP Worcestershire SauceStir in:1/3 to 1/2 Cup Beer (More will yield a thinner sauce and cover more bread)Welt over medium high heat until completely melted and beautiful. Spoon over toasted bread. Additions/Variations:Top with Bacon and sliced raw tomato for a classicBlushing Bunny: add 1/2 can condensed tomato soup to melted cheeseGolden Buck: Top with a fried or poached egg
