The Story of Teriyaki Sticks and the 1960s Cocktail Party…Because Everything is better on a Stick!

From 1966, Women's Day Encyclopedia of Food, comes a very special finger food appetizer that is even more fun because it's cooked and served on a stick! You will have plenty of room in your other hand to hold your drink! Have a retro cocktail party and make this part of your menu!

2 Lbs. Sirloin Steak, sliced into strips 1/2"x2" 1/4 Cup Soy Sauce 1/4 Cup Sherry 1/4 Cup Sugar 1 Garlic Clove, Minced 2 TSP Fresh Ginger, Minced Set oven to broil. Combine everything but the steak. Marinate steak for 1 hour mixing occasionally. String accordion style on bamboo skewers. Broil 2-3 Minutes on each side. Watch them so they don't burn. Serve Immediately. Keep in refrigerator and do not broil until ready to serve. Note: Soak your bamboo skewers in water for about 30 minutes first to prevent skewers from burning.
